Biography


Matt joined Pie Consulting & Engineering in 2000 as a Project Manager where he provided forensic engineering and consulting services on a variety of structural, civil and building envelope related projects. Matt's clients include attorneys, insurance companies, municipalities, general contractors, and building owners.

Matt’s technical expertise is in the fields of structural, civil and building envelope engineering, providing analysis of failures, new construction and rehabilitation design, third party technical peer review services, & on-site quality assurance. Matt has provided engineering consulting services on thousands of projects across the U.S. His vast forensic investigation experience includes assessment of damage caused by snow, wind, fire, flood, tornado, hurricane & expansive soils. Matt also serves as an expert witness for failure investigation, design/construction defect & construction liability claims.

In 2003, Matt became a partner in the firm and serves as Pie’s nationwide VP of Forensic Sciences, providing leadership of operations and consulting services.
