Melinda joined Pie Consulting & Engineering in 2003 and has consulted on hundreds of projects across the nation in civil, structural and forensic engineering, as well as building enclosure consulting. Melinda has provided design and construction phase consulting services and forensic engineering for a diverse client base on a wide variety of both structural and building enclosure system related projects. Melinda has performed water intrusion (cause and origin) and mold remediation investigations on more than 100 residential and commercial buildings. She has evaluated existing structures to determine the extent and causes of damage. Melinda has evaluated damage resulting from lightning strike, vehicle impact, plumbing leaks, hail, hurricane, tornado, poor maintenance, improper design, faulty construction, age and intentional human acts. Her responsibilities include; design development assistance, plan and specification reviews, quality assurance field observations; building performance testing and diagnostics on both new and rehabilitation construction projects.
Since 2006, Melinda has led the Pie Consulting’s Florida office where she serves the East Central, Northeast, North Central and Tampa Bay Regions of the state.
