“Anchor Center is an outstanding organization that has a positive impact on the lives of visually impaired children and their families here in Colorado, and we are extremely proud to have the opportunity to host the first-ever Cherrity Pie Festival benefitting Anchor Center,” said Paul Duncan, President of Pie Forensic Consultants.  “At Pie, we realize it is so important to help all children reach their full potential so that they can lead meaningful, productive lives.  This event is only the beginning of a long-term project to give back to the community and simultaneously inspire similar acts amongst our business partners,” added Duncan.

Anchor Center for Blind Children is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching visually impaired infants, young children and their families, providing hope and a nurturing environment where children reach their highest potential.

“We are honored to be the recipient of the proceeds of this inaugural event,” said Alice Applebaum, Anchor Center Executive Director. “Anchor Center is a magical place. Businesses such as Pie Forensic Consultants contribute to this magic – and to the greater nonprofit community—by hosting such fun-filled ways for people to know about the important work that nonprofits provide. This is what ‘community’ is all about.  On behalf of the children and families we serve, we extend our thanks – and can’t wait to attend and share in the fun of the event,” added Applebaum.

The event will feature family-friendly activities such as:

  • Pie bakeoff
  • Corn maze
  • Hay rides
  • Pie relay race
  • Pie eating contests
  • Pie feuds
  • Barbecue lunch

We hope you can join us on September 17!
