Pie also assesses structural damage from tornados, snow load and hail throughout the Rocky Mountain States, Texas and the midwest. Our building science services include: new construction building enclosure commissioning and retro-commissioning, design phase consultation and review, on-site quality assurance observations large, building air barrier testing with infrared diagnostics, fenestration and curtain wall air and water field performance testing, and forensic evaluations. Arvada, Colorado (February 6, 2008) – Bradley Stolz, a traffic accident reconstructionist and forensic engineer with Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie), received certification from the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) in January 2008. The ACTAR accreditation process, developed through a grant provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, requires the applicant to pass a rigorous 8-hour examination. The voluntary certification provides a means for the accident reconstruction community to comprehensively evaluate individuals within the industry. (read more...)

Arvada, Colorado (November 1, 2011) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) was recognized as part of the Mortenson Construction award-winning project team at the Annual Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida, held October 19- 21, 2011.
The Mortenson Wilderness Road Tactical Equipment Maintenance Facilities (TEMF) and Company Operations Facilities (COF) project in Fort Carson, Colorado was recognized at the DBIA National Design-Build Awards dinner.
Pie's Air Barrier Expertise Recognized by U.S. Army
Arvada, Colorado (March 29, 2011) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) recently received an Appreciation Letter from the Department of the Army for introducing building air tightness and pressure testing to Army facilities worldwide.

Pie's Air Barrier Testing Featured in BASF Case Study
Pie Consulting & Engineering' expertise in the Air Barrier Testing arena was recently recognized within a BASF case study on the testing and performance of 24 UEPH barracks at Ft. Bliss, Texas. "Pie Consulting & Engineering conducted the first building
performance testing and diagnostic evaluations of one
of these UEPH barracks on April 14, 2012; subsequently,
Pie has tested all 24 UEPH barracks for the project. All
24 of the UEPH’s not only passed during the first
round of testing, but far surpassed the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers requirement."
