Brian Erickson to Speak at 2012 Sustainable Arkansas Conference
Little Rock, Arkansas (April 10, 2012) – Brian Erickson, P.E., RCC, of Pie Consulting & Engineering will speak at the Sustainable Arkansas 2012 Conference on the topic of Building Enclosure Performance. The conference is inspired by the U.S. Green Building Council– Arkansas Chapter.
Erickson’s presentation will highlight:
- Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) standards and requirements
- Qualifications of firms providing BECx
- Various performance tests and what to watch for
- Case studies of sustainable projects with and without a successful BECx process

About Brian Erickson:
Brian Erickson, P.E., RCC, is an expert in building enclosure systems, waterproofing, air and moisture control, and building sciences.
He has consulted on a wide array of projects across the nation, with services including technical design reviews, specialized building performance testing, forensic evaluations of failed enclosure and waterproofing systems, repair design, and project management. His project experience ranges from medical training facilities to 53-story high rise curtain wall systems.
Brian served as a primary technical advisor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the development of the USACE Air Leakage Test Protocol and continues to serve as a consultant to the Corps on issues of air barrier testing, certification of testing agencies, and training of air barrier test witnesses.
