Cherrity Pie Festival Returns This Saturday—Who Said Engineers Don’t Know How to Have Fun?
Arvada, Colorado (September 9, 2013) – The Third Annual Cherrity Pie Festival, happens this Saturday September 14th from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Anchor Center for Blind Children headquarters, 2550 Roslyn Street in Denver, Colorado.
All proceeds will once again benefit the Anchor Center for Blind Children, a non-profit organization staffed by highly trained vision specialists, therapists, and teachers who strive to foster the full potential of blind children by providing exemplary education, therapy and family support services.
“Anchor Center children really do ‘see life differently.’ They make you realize that even with unbelievable challenges, there is hope. Given professional and loving support and witnessing the success stories of others, families and students continually succeed. We’re thrilled that this year’s event is being held at the Anchor Center’s wonderful, state of the art facility. Sponsors and donors will get a first-hand look at how their generosity will be utilized.” – Craig Sellers, Pie Principal.
Last year’s benefit raised $25,000 in funding; our goal this year is $30,000. As they say, “3rd time’s a charm” so we plan on tripling the fun with even more love, more cool activities, and of course more pie!
