Joseph Smith Joins Pie Consulting & Engineering
Arvada, Colorado (April 11, 2011) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) today announced that Joseph F. Smith, III, has been named Forensic Business Development/Project Manager.
Mr. Smith will oversee the rehabilitation and restoration work within the commercial and government sectors as the Business Development/Project Manager in Pie’s Forensic Group. His focus includes time devoted to technical responsibilities and proposal creation within the department as well as business development in the large loss forensic claims industry and other existing and emerging markets.
“We are very excited to announce this addition to our staff,” said Matthew Blackmer, Pie’s Vice President. “Mr. Smith’s extensive know-how and skill will help bring Pie into new markets, while rapidly developing our rehabilitation department into a significant share of our company.”
Mr. Smith graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame and is a licensed architect in the state of Colorado. He attended the University of North Carolina, where he achieved his Juris Doctorate, and is a member of the Colorado Bar Association.
Mr. Smith contributes over 20 years of knowledge and experience in the construction industry to Pie, including a wide range of experience in building performance and specific experience in construction claims. The entrepreneurial spirit, community dedication, and technical knowledge of Mr. Smith make him an ideal fit within Pie’s staff.
