Pie Awarded BECx Services on Fort Bliss Replacement Hospital

Arvada, Colorado (September 11, 2013) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) today announced the award of the  building enclosure commissioning (BECx) and field performance testing contract from the joint venture partnership of Clark-McCarthy Healthcare Partners II on the all-new Fort Bliss Replacement Hospital project in El Paso, Texas.

The $648 million world-class medical facility is slated for completion in 2016. The 1.1 million-square-foot campus will consist of a seven-story hospital, two clinic buildings, administrative building, clinical investigation building with biosafety level three laboratories, and a central utility plant.

Pie’s scope of BECx services will include substantial participation during the pre-construction, construction phase, field performance testing, occupancy/operations, and warranty phase to assist Clark-McCarthy Healthcare Partners II in delivering a leading edge healthcare facility for the troops at Fort Bliss.
