Pie Awarded Lincoln Square Lofts Rehabilitation Project

Arvada, Colorado (June 3, 2013)– Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) was recently awarded the rehabilitation design, construction administration, and quality assurance contract for the Lincoln Square Lofts (LSL) project in Lone Tree, Colorado. As the designer of record, Pie will prepare plans and specifications to repair construction defects that were the subject of litigation by the LSL Homeowners Association. Pie’s design is anticipated to address building envelope, elevator core, structural, parking garage, and other building code deficiencies at the two-building, 140-unit condominium community.

Pie services will specifically include:

  • Complete project coordination
  • Review of original construction documents and litigation expert witness reports
  • On-site observations and assessment of construction defects; prioritization of repair efforts
  • Preparation of plans and specifications, including progress designs for pricing as required by LSL’s repair contractor, value engineering to meet the LSL’s budget, and assistance in procurement of all applicable building permits and approvals of the authority having jurisdiction
  • Construction administration, including review of submittals/substitution requests, responses to requests for information, issuance of engineer/architect’s supplemental instructions, response to other repair contractor inquiries, processing of repair contractor payment applications and review of change estimates/change orders throughout the repair process
  • Quality assurance observations to determine general compliance with the repair design
  • Project close-out
