Pie Commences BECx Services on Dallas Renaissance Hotel

drh-300x240Austin, Texas (May 31, 2012) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) is pleased to announce that Sebesta Blomberg, a nationally recognized engineering firm specializing in building commissioning, chose Pie to lead the building enclosure commissioning (BECx) and consulting services for renovations to the Dallas Renaissance Hotel, a landmark skyscraper nestled in the Dallas’ Market Center district.  Pie’s BECx services will be spearheaded from our all-new Austin, Texas regional office.

Project Profile 
Renovations to the Dallas Renaissance Hotel will focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility. Pie will directly assist with the addition of a new 16,500 square-foot ballroom and parking garage addition. These renovations to the prestigious hotel are positioned to receive LEED Silver status.

The Beck Group is serving as the design-builder of the project with anticipated completion in 2013.

  1. Design Phase: Building enclosure design review, consultation, and meeting participation.
  2. Pre-Construction Phase: BECx work plan, schedule, document plan, and functional performance testing procedures.drh2-Small-300x201
  3. Construction Phase: On-site quality assurance observations and reporting.
