Cheyenne Frontier Days taps firm to assess condition of several structures to ensure longtime western event will continue without a hitch

Arvada, Colorado – April 13, 2016 – Pie Consulting & Engineering (www.pieglobal.com), a leading provider of building and forensic science services, recently evaluated the structural condition of a number of Cheyenne Frontier Days’ structures and provided recommendations to extend their life.

Structural Assessments

Cheyenne Frontier Days has been a popular summer event since its inception in 1897

“We were very pleased that Cheyenne Frontier Days entrusted Pie with the structural assessment of their structures,’ said Vice President of Forensic Sciences Matt Blackmer.  “The western heritage of our society is so important to Pie and it was an honor to participate in any way to these events.”

Since 1897, Cheyenne Frontier Days has been a premier rodeo and western event, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to Wyoming from around the world. In fact, its annual summer crowds of nearly 200,000 have earned the mid-summer rodeo the celebration, “Daddy of ‘em All.”

Events range from the steer walk, to big-name concerts, an Indian village and fair capped by one of the largest PRCA/PBR nationally sanctioned rodeos in the world.
