Pie to Present at PLRB/LIRB 2013 Regional Adjusters Conferences
Eden Prairie, MN (April 23, 2013) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) will present at the Property Loss Research Bureau and the Liability Insurance Research Bureau (PLRB/LIRB) 2013 Regional Adjusters Conferences which include the Western, Central, and Eastern conferences. Hosted by PLRB/LIRB, the regional conferences offer progressive claims training on current property and liability issues geared towards front line adjusters, supervisors, and managers. Conferences are slated for:
- 2013 Western Regional Adjusters Conference: June 11-12, Garden Grove, CA
- 2013 Central Regional Adjusters Conference: Sept. 10-11,Des Moines, IA
- 2013 Eastern Regional Adjusters Conference: Oct. 29-30, Concord, NC
Brian Erickson, P.E., RCC, will represent Pie at the conferences and speak on the topic of Emerging Trends in Building Products, Codes, and Sustainability.
Erickson’s presentation will highlight:
- New building products and means/methods of construction
- Review of applicable energy code and standards requirements for new construction and repairs
- Common repair scope and cost estimating scenarios
- Identification of strategies for handling complex losses with sustainable buildings

About Brian Erickson:
Brian Erickson, P.E., RCC, is an expert in building enclosure systems, waterproofing, air and moisture control, and building sciences. He has consulted on a wide array of projects across the nation, with services including technical design reviews, specialized building performance testing, forensic evaluations of failed enclosure and waterproofing systems, repair design, and project management. His project experience ranges from medical training facilities to 53-story high rise curtain wall systems.
Brian served as a primary technical advisor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) in the development of the USACE Air Leakage Test Protocol and continues to serve as a consultant to the Corps on issues of air barrier testing, certification of testing agencies, and training of air barrier test witnesses.
