Pie’s Catastrophe Response Team Mobilizes to Oklahoma
Arvada, Colorado (June 3, 2013) – Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) announced today its Catastrophe Response Team has mobilized to Oklahoma to assist with numerous property claims resulting from the recent tornado outbreaks. Pie will be amply staffed to ensure 2-day site observations and a 10-day report turnaround time from the time we receive a claim.
Engineering services will include:
- Structural and roofing analysis
- Hail damage analysis (evaluation of roofing materials and mechanical roof top units)
- Pre-event vs. post-event damage evaluation
- Design, repair recommendations, and cost estimating<
Officials report storm clean-up from the May 19-20 severe weather could translate into $5B in insured property losses. That round of deadly tornados destroyed 4,000 homes and businesses in five counties. Tornado-related claims in Moore, Oklahoma alone are up to 6,700 and that number is still fluid.
Tornado damage from last Friday’s deadly twister, in central Oklahoma, which killed 13 people, will take time to inventory and fully access.
“We’re ready to support the needs of individual property owners and insurance companies in Oklahoma.” – Craig Sellers, Principal, Pie Consulting & Engineering.
