National Mounted Warrior Museum

Project Overview

Located 70 miles north of Austin, just outside of Fort Hood, the National Mounted Warrior Museum honors the soldiers who have served at Fort Hood and beyond and tells their stories. The museum building features a glass atrium at the entrance and large windows throughout to maximize natural light.

Pie assisted the design team by participating in Design Charrette meetings and performing technical peer review of the drawings and specifications to help ensure proper detailing of the extensive window systems. To further the goal of bringing a world-class museum to central Texas, Pie will continue to provide Construction Phase quality assurance observations and verify performance of the completed building with whole building air barrier performance testing.
