Plano ISD Fine Arts Center

Project Overview

The Plano ISD Fine Arts Center measures 82,200 SF and includes a 1,500-seat multipurpose performance hall, rehearsal space, a black box theater and art gallery. The $50 million project is a part of PISD’s $481 million bond program, which was approved in 2016. Design was completed over a two-year period by Perkins+Will and Bora Architects. McCarthy Building Companies of Dallas broke ground in early 2019 and the project is slated for completion in 2021.

Working directly with McCarthy, Pie’s services include Technical Plan and Specifications Review, Shop Drawing & Submittals Reviews, Preconstruction & Construction Phase Meetings, Project Specific QC Checklists for each of eight Primary Enclosure Systems, Development of Schedule / Verification Plan for McCarthy QC Personnel, On-Site Quality Assurance Observations, and ASTM E1105 Water Penetration Testing.
