Brian specializes in building enclosure system performance consultation and testing in both new construction and forensic evaluations. He has consulted on projects across the nation and internationally including the new U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, coordinated the air barrier testing and diagnostic evaluation of one of the largest U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities, and serves as an expert witness in forensic failure analysis investigations.
For nearly a decade, Brian has contributed to the growth of Pie’s Building Science and Forensic Group by implementing new testing and analysis strategies, training of Pie personnel, and maintaining Pie’s reputation for exceptional client relations. In 2009, Brian moved from Colorado to his home state of Minnesota and became a Principal of the firm in 2012.
Brian served as a primary technical advisor to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the development of the USACE Air Leakage Test Protocol and continues to present nationally on building enclosure performance to the design, construction, insurance, and legal industries.
