Matt leads Pie’s California team with 30 years of technical design experience in architecture and engineering. This includes a history of applied leadership at internationally recognized architecture firms across the country. Throughout his career, Matt’s experience has involved the full span of core competencies as an architect. Over the years he has developed an expertise in the design of building facades and envelope systems.

Matt applies thought leadership in Building Science and Project Delivery that offers valuable insight to Pie’s clients in California and the surrounding region. As Director, Matt provides project oversight while working with the Pie team to deliver a collaborative and thorough consulting experience. Matt’s holistic approach to lean design and commitment to instilling a collaborative work culture stems from a longstanding career in the AEC industry. His career started as a craftsman in the field and grew into a successful architecture career. As an architect, Matt has worked on notable projects including the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, UAE and the Broadgate Tower and 201 Bishopsgate projects in London, England. This natural career growth allows Matt to operate within disciplinary teams with an understanding of the contribution of each.

Matt and his family now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area after living in various cities across the US including Chicago and Seattle
