Ryan has provided roof and building enclosure design and consultation on various new and restoration projects for over fifteen years. His responsibilities have included preparation of architectural design documents, forensic evaluation of roof and wall assemblies, quality assurance field observations, building performance testing and diagnostics on both new and rehabilitation construction projects ranging from roof evaluations and replacement projects post Hurricane Katrina to masonry restoration/rehabilitation projects for multiple campuses of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities.
Prior to joining Pie, Ryan served as a Project Manager/Cost Estimator on masonry restoration projects from bid phase and through construction. In addition, Ryan was a roof consultant for a large firm in Iowa where he not only performed forensic evaluations, but prepared drawings, conducted construction administration and field quality control services. His specialties include exterior wall systems and facades, commercial roof systems, masonry, building science, and field performance testing such as infrared thermography scanning and water penetration resistance testing.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys running, biking, golfing, taekwondo, and spending time with his wife and two children.
