Biography

Shannon has over 16 years of experience designing and investigating structures for projects of all sizes, including residential, commercial, industrial, education, and historic preservation. In 2016, Shannon brought his talents to Pie Consulting and Engineering in the role of Project Manager. A large part of his current role is to provide consulting services for forensic engineering, structural assessments, condition assessments, fire damage assessments, water damage assessments, structural and non-structural repair assessments, building rehabilitation, and structural feasibility studies. He enjoys the challenging part of determining why a failure has occurred, what we can do to prevent it from happening again, and what repairs are needed to correct the problem.

Shannon grew up in the southeast part of Wisconsin, where he learned leadership skills and developed a strong work ethic at a very young age. He developed a firm base of knowledge in building systems by building houses while in college at UW-Madison. Later, he led the UW-Madison Concrete Canoe team to a national victory in 2004.  Shannon lives near Minneapolis, MN and enjoys time spent with his family.
