Biography

While attending Smith, Sophia was part of a research team funded by NSF specializing in earthquake simulations. Sophia traveled across the US performing earthquake simulations on existing structures and retrofitting techniques to better understand how they behave under earthquake loading. After graduating from UC Davis, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she managed a materials testing and inspection lab and began to focus on concrete petrography and testing of cementitious materials. As a Specialist at Pie, Sophia brings extensive knowledge of material and building performance testing to clients.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys hiking, fly fishing and spending time with her family and sisters.
